Best gaming console for a 7 year old girl?

My step daughter is 7 and my fiancé and I are looking for something like a WII. They have about 3 different WII gaming consoles. What would you guys recommend we get? Thanks guys!

Wii u doesn't have a lot of life left but should do fine for her with all there is currently.

For a 7 year old,
You could drop 50 bucks on a Playstation 2 and a shite ton of games and they would be happy.

Yes
Do NOT get a regular Wii. There is no point to that anymore other than how much cheaper it would be.
The WiiU is backwards compatible so you can play all of Wii games on top of the WiiU games.
