first time to this board so sorry if this has been covered but has anyone played this yet?

First time trying VR and while there's cool features, this barely even qualifies as a game. It's just a meh movie where you can open drawers. Thought it was a complete waste of money.

Can't wait to see where VR goes but jesus this was not the start I was hoping for.

VR is probably going to end up being a fad. It's nowhere near being the future of gaming.

I got a Vive about a month ago. Definitely not a fad, but it's got a looooooooooong way to go. General public will get sick playing half the games. User base is too small for any big developers to really get involved. PC hardware really isn't good enough to run everything with enough quality to get everyone on board. Oh yeah, and the Vive is $700-$800 on top of having a better PC than the majority of people have. Also people are lazy as hell and you have to have energy to play it.

Give it another 5 years.

would bet a lot of money against this.

It's just a matter of getting it right. It's a no brainer that it'll be massive, but time is certainly needed.

To me it was one of coolest gaming experiences I've ever had for a few moments that happen that literally make you feel like Batman. To me it was like the jump to 3D from 2D like when I first played Mario 64 or OoT.

The overall gameplay leaves a lot to be desired but if you look at it as a beta it's not so bad bc it was only $20.

VR requires massive integration before it comes close to being a new innovation.

Unless it becomes more immersive, it will be nothing but a fad like 3D television.
