Ark: Survival Evolved
Can be picked up for $29.99 on Steam. I'm sure I'm not the only one playing this, would love to make a Rant server if there are enough of us playing.
Short run down.
Ark is a sandbox style survival game set on an island with dinosaurs. Think Minecraft set in the stone age. Your character starts with nothing, working his or her way through the Stone Age, eventually unlocking plate armor, combat shotguns, etc... The games most intriguing feature is the ability to tame dinosaurs to raid the bases of other players, serve as guard dogs, or do pretty much whatever you want with them.
Overall, it's the best new game I've played in a long time. Full release is coming to PC/Mac, XboxOne, and PS4 next year.

The taming of dinos is a bit too time intensive for me with having a baby to raise now. Have to devote way too much time for it. I've shortened it considerably on my own screw around server, but it kinda ruins endgame things quickly.
It's a pretty decent game, got it when it was like half that price. Don't think I would spend $30 on it. Kinda burnt out on it fast too.

Yeah the taming is pretty ridiculous, especially for the high level high end Dinos. You can tame a dillo in like 10 minutes but basically have to have a group to spend 10 hours taming a high level mammoth or bronto.
I'm enjoying it though. Would be cool if there were enough on the rant to play since we all have similar situations with our time schedules and can tone down the taming times.

I played it for a day and hated the interface and all of the colors and popups, etc. looks like a 5 year old designed it. Will give them time to make everything cleaner then give it another chance.

It's this kind of stuff that has turned me off of a lot of games on Steam. A lot of money for games that are still very flawed.

You guys are more than welcome to join one of ADKs servers. We have two pvp and two pve. Active admins, scheduled restarts to keep everything up to date. I'm on mobile so I can't really multi tab and copy/paste the server ips, But you can find them in the ark forums at adkgamers.com
