I had SO much fun with destiny during the beta. I thought it was the next GOAT game. After I finished the game, I realized what a piece of shite it was. The developers quit on that game. Like someone said, if you are having fun who gives a shite right? Some people still play COD

until you play the wolves expansion your opinion is worthless here

investing money in a game that is fun to play is generally how games work

even if it takes a year or more for that game to be fun. sorry you sold your investment in the game before it got good.

you should check out the wolves expansion then. it's worth the investment

While the “end of time” may be a bit of an exaggeration, Bungie has indeed kept that promise of continuous updates thanks to their DLCs, but also with regular patches to fix noted issues the game will experience.

The news come via a leaked marketing sheet acquired by Kotaku and it details what players can expect from the game’s next DLC, expected to release on September 15th. Titled The Taken King, the expansion is being priced at $40 USD, which puts is squarely between Destiny‘s original pricetag of $60 and its year one expansion pass (which included two sets of DLC) of $35. And since The Taken King will cost more at launch than both The Dark Below and House of Wolves, players should expect more bang for their buck.

The Taken King will include new story missions expanding upon Destiny‘s mythos, as well as new Strikes, PvP maps, and a new Raid that will pit players against Oryx (father of Crota, the raid boss from The Dark Below). In addition to added playable content, the three guardian classes will also be receiving an additional subclass and super ability: an electrical storm for Warlocks (arc); a gravity bow for Hunters (void); and a flaming hammer for Titans (solar).

Those new super abilities in particular will be welcomed news for players seeing as they add the type of damage (arc, void, solar) that those respective classes were missing. Also, it isn’t too surprising to learn The Taken King will include a new raid since that’s an addition that was noticeably absent from House of Wolves.

dunno. nothing but rumors at this point. heard that destiny 2, if there is one, would just build upon the original. like it would just pick up where the last one ended.

They are working on destiny 2.

While this game is much like an mmo bungie said many times before release that it wasn't. I understand not liking the base game. It was not enough content and it didn't click for me at first either. I came back to play with friends and they are why I did not quit. I still didn't think the expansion was worth the cost since the base game didn't have enough content but it was gifted to me by drewbrla.

I think the value is fine now because you can get the game on sale for $20 and expansions total at $40 I think? So for a $60 total it is good. I understand why someone who wasn't happy with their initial $60 would not want to pump more in though.

It was a pretty big post with 10000+ views. Said he was an ex dev.

The game right now is fine I'm sure. The last expansion was a fricking MESS. You played crota right? That's what they gave us, 3 story missions, 1 new strike, 1 frickED up raid that was glitched to HELL, and 2 more levels. Didn't explain anything else in the story (which is why I bought it in the first place) Destiny promised a lot and provided little. I will say again, if you are having fun then good for you baw.
