Anyone play Salt and Sanctuary? (PS4)

This game is the shite. It's like a 2D Dark Souls. I saw Gardoki recommend it and it's amazing (and ive only played the first level).
Took me about 40 minutes to beat the first level. it's supposed to take like 3 minutes and then you die to a boss. I kept dying to him (you're supposed to get 1shotted by him to continue the story) but I kept making new characters and trying. You only get one shot per character (i read that he's not on NG+) so I really wanted to beat him. finally got his arse and had to go to work smh. He drops a shitload of souls (i levelled up like 12 times) and some items that are apparently pretty rare late in the game
for 17.99, you PS4 users need to give this a shot

Indeed! I've been playing it off and on for about a week and have really enjoyed it. I went with a strength build and found the equivalent of the zwheihander. I'm currently at Castle of Storms, but my weapon is starting to feel somewhat underpowered; I need to look for upgrade materials.

i went with cleric (very helpful to have Mend and the weapon buff for that 1st boss) but I really wanted to go thief. I spent all my upgrades on the first little section to be able to use all the sections. im assuming i can take the build wherever I like

well im a fricking idiot. i beat the last boss and got every trophy except for the ending trophies. I closed the application right before the ending sequence to make a backup save and get both endings (so i could get a platinum in one playthrough).
I don't know what the frick happened, but when I pulled the game back up, I was was back at one of the early cavern sanctuaries with all my old gear. somehow fricked my game up. I deleted the game immediately. im so fricking pissed

some glaring flaws that are specific to the 2D view, but it was a fun romp. i still have the red arse this morning though. so fricking mad.

I just beat Witcher 3 after putting in a 30 hour session... I plan on trying to beat it before DS3 drops, if I get to the end I'll send you my save.

yeah, take a break and come back. it's wonderful. edges out the Baron's story for my favorite part of the game.

Being a big Souls players, how did you like the Witcher? I only played the intro but the combat was such a step down.

The combat isn't the best thing about the game, but I don't think it's as bad as some make out. It's basically as deep as you want it to be. It's not very satisfying when you're just action button spamming, but there are other options to implement to open it up and make it more satisfying.

Yeah that's kind of how I felt as well. I spent as many of my points as I could into the control sign... It was so much fun making everyone else fight for me
