Looking for something similar to age of empires. That game was the shite when I was a kid. Tia

I have Rome Total War on my Macbook Pro. Runs like a champ. Really comes in handy on flights since it's impossible for me to sleep when I fly.

RTS are my favorite kind of game. Now that I have a laptop that can play games, I'd love to start them up again. Ages of Empires II was the one I had. So good. I played a lot of Sid Meier Civil War games as well.

Feral Interactive (who I think is the original publisher) is where I purchased the game.

It's was $25 and still is, I just checked.

Ck2 is like 10 bucks on steam and I have played well over 300 hours. Id say its a pretty good deal. They also have a total conversion mod to make the world the world of Game of Thrones, if you enjoy the books/show, its great fun

If you don't mind something closer to real-time-tactics instead of RTS, I suggest Ground Control. It's like $5 on steam and is arguably one of the greatest RTT games of all time.

You can download anything on to a laptop.

Whether you can install and run it on a laptop is a whole different animal.

Based off the title, I was about to recommend AOE. Make sure you have AOE 2 with all of the new expansion packs. Civilization is also a good franchise. I would also recommend Crusader Kings 2 with the Game of Thrones mod.

RTS games are the best. I'm sure you've played C&C games. They went downhill once Westwood shut down. Or whatever happened with that. C&C 3 and all the games following were abysmal. Playable, but not what the series used to be. I still play C&C Tiberium Sun.
You can get pretty much all of the old C&C games for free now.

Red Alert 2 was probably my overal favorite C&C game.
Renegade was their only FPS game. It's pretty dead now, but you could play Skirmish with some mods.

Company of Heros is one of the greatest RTS games of all time. Honestly have never played the second one, but the first one was phenomenal. I'll occasionally hop on it. Graphics are still beautiful to this day.

Well I watched half of part 1 and realized that I already knew all of that. So I skipped to part 2 and watched bits and pieces as a refresher.
So I watched part 3 in its entirety before I said screw it and jumped into a new game.
I've learned a lot. And still have more to learn tonight
Thanks for the suggestion.
