I always fought the guards with the long weapons bare handed. It was easier to grab their weapon and kill them with it than to try to fight them with a sword.

i got a shite save, and am stuck.
while racing your brother to the chapel, i couldnt find the spot to race to, i was dicking around, and he has a huge lead. So, no matter how hard i run, climb, and move, he wins and it restarts, he wins again and again.
got boring fast

Try to exit the memory and then re enter.

That's pretty early in the game, you could start over if you can't restart the memory.
