Maybe so. After playing skyrim I like the gameplay a lot better and it seems to promise a great story.
I Almost downloaded Oblivion for $4 and thought "wtf am I doing?" Figured I have no less than 6 looooong RPGs to play with a new PC and dark souls 2 around the corner.

Wait, what? Mass Effect has a nice story with some dialogue options. Its core gameplay is pretty much just pew pew everything though. Especially the last 2 games.

I just started playing this and I think I tried for like the first couple hours to figure out how to sprint. It seems like such a core thing.

Hell no. Open world RPGs can be nice but usually a more linear storyline is way more fun
Also third person shooters are the best type of game. If every game were like Mass Effect I'd be happy
