It was fun.

I would be down for a Thursday night 5 man run. Just don't want to do AC story mode.

Sorry about having to get out last night guys, I had to leave at 4 this morning to make a couple hundred mile drive. If it weren't for that I would have enjoyed dieing in from of your very eyes many more times.

This is fun, but can be a pain in the arse without the right group.

Draecas has been promoted to officer and we have added a few new people this week, looks like with the officers we have added things will be picking up.

great job in TA last night. Awesome instance. IM 78 now, when im 80 ill respec to something more group friendly.. so my utility should increase. Cant imagine 2h GS will do too great in PVP anyways, so ill find a defensive PVP/PVE Support spec and rock that for a bit.

2 guardians 2 rangers and a mesmer doin work... who needs a holy trinity

i hit 80 last night after that run, and then spent the next 45 minutes at the AH getting brand new gear and making myself a full set of yellow jewelry. Hopefully all my orders get filled and I'll have a bunch of new gear/weapons waiting for me when I get home this afternoon.

Part of me wants to try and find a new spec, but I really hate using other peoples builds. I kind of wish there was a parser to see how well my current build is, but at the same time I also enjoy not turning this game in to theorycrafting. I'M SO CONFUSED

I'm parked at 79.something. I'll hit 80 in the next day or so. Been playing on the warrior a good bit and have him up to 21.

Yep, that's me.
I changed my specs after I hit 60 and went heavy on toughness and vitality, 23 or 24 on each and I think 8 power. It helped a lot on the group dungeon runs. Being a warrior doesn't give you to much heal stuff to work with so I am pretty much stuck being Mongo.

If I figure out how to respec before 80 I'm dropping the power thing all together, I have a lot of that on my equipment and with vitality, toughness and I think 12% magic find.

Yep That Mesmer did some mad dps.

I am about to hit 60 so will try and put together a better dps spec. I have been using GS with staff but want to try a new weapon other than the staff. I want to try more weapon swapping in a fight to see if I can get more dps and utility for the group. Also looked up my combos and will try to slide some in.

Aside from the "living nightmares" ,and the triple nightmare hound pull, we did quite well in there.

Living nightmares

Also I have a tough time meleeing in these dungeons...glad to have ranger pets to keep that shite at distance. Scepter/focus ftw

Pet tanks ftw.

I won't be on until later tonight. I just formatted to move my OS to my SSD so I have to reinstall after I get everything updated.

Looking to get gw2 this weekend. Can someone sell me on the game? I played WoW on and off for years. What are the similarties and differences. Is it repetitive as WoW? Is it going to take away my social life?
TIA

here are my thoughts from the last time this was asked:

LINK

To expand:
Not as repetitive as wow
solo leveling grind is very fun
no raiding
Wont take away your social life. Can play for 30-60 minutes and feel like you did work. Can also play 8 hours on a Saturday if you wish, as there is A TON of content

Is the open world as big as wow? Whats the learning curve like can I download it and jump right in or is there a lot to learn?

The world is fricking enormous. I'm about to hit level cap and only have 41% map completion.

If you enjoy a large world, and exploring and adventuring in it..gw2 will be a great experience.

There are many caves, underwater encounters, and large structures. So there can be a shitload of content in a small "area" of the map

You can jump right in, its easy to learn but difficult to master. There are some advanced combat dynamics unique to guild wars.
