Why does Johnny's pizza get so much hate on this board?

I've had excellent pizza and great service every time I've dined there.

I like it too. It's not the best pizza I've ever had or anything but the one on Staring is solid

I love it anyway (delivery, carry out, etc.), but man it’s hard to beat if you dine in and eat it hot out of the oven. Delicious.

Because it's a mediocre pizza option in towns with bad pizza.

Only queers and closet transgenders dislike the pizza. Everybody else loves it. Watch the replies and you’ll see.

It’s a reaction to people claiming it’s the best pizza on the planet. If people posted that it was decent but not great, I doubt you would get much pushback.

I've eaten it numerous times and still do eat it, but it's not excellent by any means. It's pizza and it's better than Pizza Hut. It's good but there really aren't any other options.

I grew up on Johnny's so I always preface describing my love of it with it might not be the best, but it's nostalgic. Got my husband to try it expecting him to turn up his nose, and he was pleasantly surprised.

It's a Monroe pizza chain. They have a couple of BR metro locations

Monroe people love it.

It’s not bad, but it’s probably aided by a lot of nostalgia.

The one here in town always gets the toppings wrong. Pepperoni. It's simple. Why I end up with wayward onions on it is beyond me.

If they gave me what I ordered, I'd like it. It tastes decent but the onions that they always seem to scatter on it ruin it for me.
