I'll wait for crawfish, maybe, but George's is right down the street and they have good po-boys.

People who wait an hour plus for places like Rum House or Surreys need their fricking heads examined.

I waited an hour for Rum House on Saturday evening. By wait, I mean I got my buzzer and then went down to Bulldog and had a few drinks, then called Rum House 45 minutes later to see where we were on the list, then headed back right as they buzzed us. Waiting at places like that isn't bad if you have some place to kill time.

I can go down the street to LA Boilers or even make the drive to Tony's and get crawfish more quickly that are just as good

Thats also just going to pick up the crawfish and going back home to eat.

Dont get me wrong, thats what I prefer. Some people its probably a night out to do something with the family and dont mind the wait.

I think LA Boilers is really meh when it comes to their seafood (Perkins location). I never see cars at the place and they dont do enough business to consistently go in there and get fresh, hot seafood.

Tony's food is great and I would go more if it wasnt arse far away in the ghetto

I got some from boilers yesterday that tasted better and had better size then what I got at sammy's 2 weeks ago. That was my first time picking up from there in a while, but they were good. I haven't gotten anything else from there though

Don't get me started on George's. I don't feel like paying $20 bucks for burger, fries and a coke.

I've never waited at Sammy's, but I usually wait when I eat crawfish. Sometimes it's a couple hours, but there is a bar at the place that I go, so I just sit in the bar, drink, and play cards with friends.

Haven't been in a while but elected officials were regulars. The Highland location. Almost like the Fairway View Club was in the early 90's

No fricking idea. I've never been overly impressed with their food.

Ah word probably was back in the day. I would say its more of a place to be seen now if you want to see soccer moms and dads after their kids games.

People in politics hang out at Ruths. Galatoires is another

Must be the new Gallatoires.

I was going to Sammy's when it was just the bar with about 10 tables. They do have good food but I don't think their crawfish is worth the wait.

Not a great location, to say the least.

I get your point here. I think it's a bit rude to take off down the street, especially if the buzzer doesn't reach that far. Never know when they may have a table pop open for you then if you're not there you leave the hostess hanging.

Because I'm there already. By the time I get back in the car, drive somewhere else that will also have a wait, I could have been eating already.
