Why can't frozen pizzas have properly placed pepperonis?

They are always in a fricking pile in the middle and need to be rearranged.

So you can take them off easier to add more cheese.

It only takes a few seconds to rearrange them, and then you can put them where you want. Not a big deal.

Because they don't know if you want 6 or 8 slices, so they can't place them strategically to avoid slicing through pepperonis.

Workers? I always assumed the toppings were just dumped onto it by machine...most production seems to be fully-automated these days and to have workers putting on the toppings would involve a lot of handling of the food...

But yeah that always seemed weird to me Upside is you can arrange them any which way you want!

It's frozen pizza, and like others have said, it's probably done with a machine, and I'd add frozen, shipped all over the country before it gets to you and thus the pepperonis have become a unit unto themselves.

Try Papa Murphy's next time. MUCH better pizza you can bake yourself and probably relative in price if you compared it by weight and toppings and better in freshness at the very least.
