Guthrie's in Germantown is always on point when I've gone.

You used to get a 3 Finger extra toast and a drink for $6 and walk out full.

Now it’s $10 for three chicken nuggets.

lived a short walk from the original Canes when it opened. You used to get 5 big tenders in the box for like $5.25 or something like that. Granted, I guess that has been almost 30 years ago now. It did go up a decent amount post Covid

Mountains of Canes boxes stacked around the house by every Sunday evening.

Got my kid Blue Store chicken the other day. 6 big pieces for $6. It’s the best chicken deal in town and prolly the best chicken period. The drive thru on Burbank is funny tho- as if they found an abandoned speaker system from an old drive thru somewhere and installed it. I guess that’s part of the charm.

I’m a big Foosackly’s fan (a Cane’s ripoff with better chicken and more sauce options) so I’ll say I might be biased, but why can’t Cane’s put out some chicken with actual flavor besides the sauce that goes on it?

I like foo but imma have to stop you right there. There is zero seasoning on anything at foosackley.

Yep, picked up Rouses Thibodaux tenders Friday from their heat lamp display - look for them in the small paper bags under the lamp. Also had their tender sandwich for $4, full of tenders. One of the few bargains there.

Guthrie's sauce has to have crack in it or something. To steal a line from Frank's, I used to put that shite on everything.

I love Canes. A chicken tender could always be bigger but the ones I've gotten at our Canes (Mason Rd and on 1093) are certainly reasonable.

At Canes it's the chicken + sauce that = the flavor. And it's great. OTOH, couldn't imagine dipping Popeyes spicy (GOAT) in any sauce.

At Canes, the service is great, restaurants are clean, food is consistent, prices aren't that different from the competition, and they're open late. Most people are willing to patronize places like this.

Cane's sucks, they should be called sauce and bread. The chicken fingers have never been that good now they are really bad and expensive. I just don't get it.
