Ran through Wendy’s today, a single classic with med fry and drink was $12… feels like the would have been every bit of $6 back in the day (3 years ago).

Anyways I assume some fiscally responsible lunch eaters read this stuff, what lunch loopholes/under the radar meals do you go for? Bang for the buck obviously.

Download the apps for fast food restaurants. You’ll feel a lot of shame for having them on your phone, but most have decent promos/rewards.

Taco Bell but you're gonna have to deal with the Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito farts.

If I’m in BR at lunchtime my go to is Costco. Either hotdog or pizza slice. Under $5 with drink. Usually some talent in there at that time too.

Fast food prices have been out of control for a while now. Gives me a good reason to finally stop eating it.

I have no shame. That’s the only way they get my orders right.

Do not overlook the Lunchables type kits. I can grab one for under five bucks in any market. Meat, cheese, crackers, and a piece of chocolate.

If I'm stuck on the road and HAVE to eat fast food I can get 2 McDoubles or 2 McChicken sandwiches and a medium fry for around 7.50. I never get a beverage and always have water on me.

Taco Bell still has the $5 Box Combo (includes drink)

Wendy’s still has the $5 Biggie Combo (double stack and drink)

McD has the $3 combo with a McChicken or McDouble and small fries. Any size drink is $1 more.

Like someone else said, if you’ve got no shame (I certainly don’t, lol), download their apps. Went to BK for a quick lunch today and got a double cheeseburger, fries and a drink for $5.

According to the Burger King coupons that come in the mail every month with the monthly junk mail bundle, Burger King would be the best bang for a buck. I don’t know if they even have an app like McDonald’s, but if they do, that would probably be the cheapest. With those coupons you could probably get 3 Whoppers for $12.

If I’m on the road I’m a fan of Taco Bell. Although not on the menu, you can typically still order chicken soft tacos Al fresco style and a side of black beans. Should be under $7

Like others have mentioned, use the apps, and work their former dollar menu items that are now priced in the $5 and less range..

By the time I gotta fork out $12 and up to have a bag of bad food tossed at me in a brown bag..

I’m getting Parrain’s Tabasco Mustard Catfish on Friday, takeout for $12. Or Jambalaya Shoppe, Canes Box Combo, Atomic Jamburger, Salad Shoppe, Bull Clicks Grill Chicken Burger, Serop Express, Hi-Nabor Rouses Whole Foods sushi rolls, etc..

Glad that 1.50 Costco drink & dog is but a mile away.
