Just got done with a great meal there and wanted to hear others' opinions on it.

This is the OT. We've all sat at the Chef's table at Noma. Were you even close to the kitchen?

It's arguably the best restaurant in the world. You can cut the crap and just brag if you want.

Everytime I have the urge to take a spur of the moment jaunt to Denmark.

But, for real, this. You're anonymous and already started the thread so just complete the gloat and describe your experience.
Even if I did eat there (and I haven't), you're not really interested in my thoughts on the soup.

Thanks, because it was awesome! We had a big enough party that we got the private upstairs dining room and the full tour of the production kitchen and experimental kitchen.

It's awesome you went there for real though. I'll make it there one of these days... I hope. Do you have pictures ?

Very descriptive. Obviously the food made a huge impression.

I have, but that was back in '07.

Trying to do too much to go over the details of taste yet. Thread was started purely as a brag about experiencing the culinary brilliance that is Noma.

Walking in
Turnip and unripe strawberry marinated in aquavit
Weird starter, but tasty. Extreme tart from the strawberry, and a crazy mix of sweet and sour from the turnip toppers.
Oland wheat and virgin butter
Really tasty sour dough bread and a very soft/sweet butter made by the self-proclaimed Butter Viking
Cabbage and currant
Two cabbage leaves (the bottom grilled, the top raw) with a filling that I can't remember in a deliciously tart sauce
New Danish potato and lovage
Four tiny potatoes cooked in and onion skin wrapper on a bed of yeast and salt with a very mild horseraddish dipping sauce eaten using a sharpened twig.
Greens and flowers on a scallop fudge sauce
Sweet peas, milk curd, and sliced kelp
Exactly what it sounds like, and it was amazing
Flower tart
Sweet tasting unfertilized flowers on a seaweed derived tortilla chip with a small bit of some kind of tart sauce at the very end.
Sweet shrimp wrapped in ramson leaves
A sweet, raw shrimp goo (for lack of a better term) encased in this lilly pad looking leaves with a bit of horse raddish
Sliced raw squid and broccoli stems
Cabbage and roses
Monkfish liver
White asparagus, goosefoot leaves and barley
Lobster and nasturtium
Black garlic aged for a year with ants
Seriously tasted and had the consistency of a slightly spicy fruit roll up. Odd, but one of everybody's favorites
Roasted bone marrow
Berries and greens soaked in vinegar for one year
Rhubarb and sheep milk yogurt
Forrest flavors and chocolate
Eggnog
Experimental kitchen (had to cut half the picture off because of a secret menu for tomorrow. They're doing some chef swap with another restaurant for a one night only thing and nobody is supposed to know who is at which restaurant until tomorrow)
My apologies for the crappy camera and camera work, but I was drinking a lot of beer and still use an iphone 4s
