Podnuh's on Florida makes a legit one. Jambalaya Shoppe in Hammond Aire makes a decent one too.

+1 Mrs Darleen's recipe is very good. Good crab boil flavor.

Also enjoy Podnuh's on Fla by Mall City version. Parrain's too.

Most store-bought potato salad is way too wet or heavy on mustard. This is the closest to what I make at home.

Wayne's BBQ in Livingston--it rarely makes it all the way home, and I end up licking the container it came in. It's like crack to me.

Add to that relish, pickle and 2 or three other "crunchy" things that are a mystery and have no reason being added to PS.

I make a similar German style potato sale. Try adding some fresh dill to it. I also add some mayo because I like it.

To answer the question at hand, Montalbano's is solid so is Coffee Call's but I don't think they sell it to go.

Love Voodoo's too, but it definitely isn't "traditional", I consider theirs to be Twice Baked Potato with sour cream..yet scalloped and chilled in presentation. A nice reverse deconstructed recipe.

My wife always has to make 2 potato salads. One with dill and one with sweet relish.

I'm not a fan of dill and she hates sweet relish.

I've said it before on here but I'm sticking to it, Podnuh's sides are actually pretty goddamn good. The Florida Blvd one. Not huge on most stuff there, but they have really good beans and P Salad
