Agreed. If you have the coin, green or gold label is head and shoulders above...

But nothing beats blue. Real. fricking. Talk.

Bulleit is very good.

So is Eagle Rare.

Bookers is excellent, but is a fricking sledgehammer.

Have you explored "scotch" in any capacity? Go anywhere that carries "Johnny Walker Blue" and get a couple fingers... It. Will. Change. Your. Life.

Only scotch I've had is Macallan. It was the 12 or 15 I think. It was a very nice treat. I feel like I'm more of a bourbon guy but maybe I'll try some more one day.

Don't think I could handle that beast yet. Some people really like those higher proof bourbons but sometimes I struggle to actually enjoy them.

Weller 12 is good but is becoming harder and harder to find these days. The more potent Weller antique is also nice. If you get lucky and are able to find both you can blend them 60/40 and make what is known as poor mans pappy. If done correctly it's delicious. Also if you really want to know more about bourbon there is a 1000 page thread on the food and drink board about bourbon. The guys there know their shite and drink a crapton of bourbon.

Also, I know that this should be in the Food & Drink board but I want Joe 6 Pack's opinion not wanna be Emeril

If you're looking for a good tasting bottle in the low price end of the brown liquors, try Old Forester or Buffalo Trace.

Maker's on crushed ice is my go-to.

I like Pappy as well, but it's rare that I can find it.

I think 1792 is pretty underrated, imo.

Crown Royal XO is super smooth. I drink it neat.

Jack Daniels single barrel is my big game drink.

knob creek single barrel is my all time favorite. I drink it neat.
one that isn't made anymore is old charter 12 year. if you can find that, pick up as much as you possibly can. that is one of the smoothest bourbons I've ever drank.

Four Roses Small Batch and Elijah Craig are great tasting bourbon around the $30 mark.
