When you guys make the "Poor Man's Pappy," how long do you prefer to let it sit before drinking?

glad ya finally got it mixed up J, just curious how did you measure it out? i did mine on a small postal scale
now that long 2 week wait!
i really think the 12 is the one that makes this work
mellowing out the 107, looking forward to doing this again but 60(107)/40 next time
enjoy

I currently have some that's been sitting for right at a month. I'll probably dive in this weekend.

I usualy have a glass right after I mix it I want to do some side by side tasting to see if the 2 weeks makes a difference or not.

I prefer the 50/50...I have had it 60/40 both ways and just like the 50/50. And I always use the same amount out of each bottle.

Save that 1.75 bottle....I use that to make my mixes. I just dump a whole bottle of 12 and 107 in it and swirl. You can fill your nice bottle with it if you want from there and let the rest rest.

I need to get a hold of some 107....but definitely want to try a mix.

The color variations in scotch kind of blows my mind. Was just in a liquor store and saw 2 from Auchentoshan that were hugely different in color:

I understand why the variations exist, still kind of blows me away. They also had a third one that was between those 2:

I usually keep 2 bottles active at all times: one to consume, while the other marinates. Once I finish the bottle, I move over the aged stuff and then make a new mix.

Usually takes a month or two to get through the bottle, so every bottle is ready to drink once the previous bottle is empty.

Took the day off to get a few things done and pack for vacation. So mid-day drinking it is!

Taking my daughter to Disney World. I'll be honest, this trip is as much for me as it is for her. I love the place. So far I've packed a bottle of Single Oak Project, a bottle of Bin Q barrel select Old Scout Rye, and a bottle of EHTBP. I should probably go pack some clothes.
