All those bourbon bottles are taking away from the 1 bottle of DiSarrano! You need to step up your game NOLAGT!

I've read that it was 140 so I'm pretty sure that should cover anything I'd be looking to bring back.

Hopefully they'll be a bit more understanding there since that's the reason people go there.

so you're flying to Louisville for the sole purpose of bottle hunting?

i dont know how successful that's gonna be unless you know a few peeps up there that are gonna help you out.

Nah, I have a corporate orientation to attend. I'm just taking advantage of my time there, hopefully picking up some gift shop bottles and such.

If I were that much of a baller I hear that the Dakotas are the place to hunt.

thanks everyone!

As for flying with booze I have no idea how many you can bring. I would call the airlines you are flying on. If it were me id ship it...either to someone you know or to your house to get there when you return. I wouldnt trust the airlines not to jack it or brake it.

as soon as you get there locate a packing material store and a fedex store (probably find both in 1 location). just print yourself a label and have it ready to go. find bottles, pack em up, drop box off at fedex with label already on it.

Ever have any issues with FedEx shipping alcohol?

EDIT: Or likely UPS since Louisville is their hub.

I never have had any issues but i have used mainly fedex... the few times i've used UPS i didnt have any issues either though. fedex is just easier...print label and drop it off.

obviously you dont tell them what you're shipping.

This...just pack it up good and tight and protect the bottle on all sides and bottom with something. Make it so the bottle wont move...

i always wrap bottles i ship in 3 or 4 layers of bubble wrap and pack as tight as i can with packing peanuts. Like Nola said, dont want the bottles to be able to move at all and try to get them in the center of the box..

I wrap them tightly in bubble wrap, then add a box of Mac n Cheese, and fill the empty space with styro peanuts. The Mac n Cheese hides the "noise" of the air bubble in the bottles. That "Glug-Glug" noise is a dead giveaway and FedEx may not ship it.

Those NERDS candies work to mask the sound as well.
