I must say gentlemen, I am disappointed in this current batch of ECBP. It tastes like hot young juice with oak flavoring. I know it is 12yo also and the proof is lower, but it drinks nothing like it's visibly different older brothers. Maybe it will open up more as I get through the bottle. But so far, NOT worth the 60.00. Would take another OF1920 over this tbh so far.

Four Roses Single Barrel Private Selection OESF, aged 9 years and 9 months.

This was one of the barrel picks for sale at the distillery gift shop. At 121.6 proof, the alcohol isn't nearly as strong as I'd expect.

Nose: brown sugar, red fruits, booze, herbs, and the perfect level of underlying oak beneath the other smells.

Taste: everything from the nose plus pepper/spice. A few drops of water really opened it up. I like the viscous smooth feeling you get from the lack of chill filtration.

Overall, this is fantastic bourbon. I'm already biased in favor of Four Roses, but it's difficult not to be with products like this. I have paid much more for bottles that are half as good. I have yet to be disappointed by one of their bourbons.
