Serious question, bourbon gawds, am I being selfish by only buying Kentucky bourbon?

Stock Answer from SMS: Yes. Scotch is better.

More thoughtful answer from SMS: Yes. Colorado makes some very high quality whiskeys. Texas non so much unless you like corn. Virginia has the bowman brothers stuff which is very delicious.

I have plenty of "Clifford's" left and I am still drinking on those. I haven't had the NAS EC yet. How does it compare to the 12 year?

I meant to post this last night but didn't hit submit apparently.

Most of you know that I'm a huge fan of Acquistapace's and their barrel picks. However, the Bernheim 7 year wheat pick may be the worst private pick of any label I've ever had. It is extremely hot (especially for 90 proof) and tastes much younger than 7 years.

In short, save your money on that bottle and get one of the others.

I prefer the 12 yr to the nas but the difference isn't enough for me to bunker. The NAS is a little thinner but it's still a solid pour. For the price point Henry McKenna 10 is better than both.

Yeah, shame they abandoned it for the NAS.

Thanks for the reply, I tried scotch many years ago, never got the hang of it. I'm going to branch out from Kentucky I guess.....

1PD: Booker's Rye

I actually wasn't a fan of it when I first had it. I feel like air time has really improved this bottle. I'm really enjoying it a lot right now.

In my opinion it's easily the best pour of the year. I can't think of anything off the top of my head I like more period, but would have to do blind side by sides to say for sure

Yes. We will be there. Martins closes at 7. We should be out by then or a little after. It will be a pleasure to meet you.
