I'll be in Houston near the airport Monday on biz. I don't have time to go to the big one in the middle of the city. Can anyone recommend a location close to the airport or off of i10 east? I'm looking for a good beer selection.

There is one on FM1960 E which I believe is the closest one. There is also a place called Goody Goody liquor on 1960 as well but a little closer to the airport and is similar to a Specs in size and variety.

Forgot to add there is a small specs just North of I-10 on Beltway 8 on the East side.

Easiest place to go is Goody Goody on 1960 just north of the airport.
The closest Specs to that area are small and have limited selections, but the king wood location would be the easiest for you to get to and back from

You flying to Houston or just working near IAH?

I suggest the Specs in Beaumont then

It's maybe 2 miles north of I-10 on US69

Or, if you plan to drive I-10 to Beaumont then Hwy 90 through Liberty and Dayton to Humble/IAH, you will pass right by the Atascocita Specs location.

me, I would probably stop at all of them

Are they all pretty much the same as far as beer selection?

Not really. They vary greatly in size, so the selection will be different.
The biggest you'll be near is Beaumont, so it can have the widest selection, though I've stopped there before when it looked like they haven't received any shipments in weeks.
