Last couple of times I needed one I called Babineaux's Slaughter House in Breaux Bridge. They were recommended by the builder of the cajun microwave I bought.

That's where I bought the only whole pig I've ever bought. One of my ortho docs removed a cyst from my forehead in return of me buying him a pig.

Well that's a lovely picture. Was a lot of pus surrounding the cyst?

So regardless of the above fluid fiasco are these pigs fresh? Not frozen pigs?

Just curious.

It's a slaughter house so I assume the pigs are killed on site and not frozen

I used to buy 60-80 lb. pigs that were stuffed with seasoning from Lagneauxs on Ridge Rd. Ideal for a Cajun Microwave. Probably have to call ahead of time and place order

Last time I called, I could hear the pigs in the back ground. He sent his assistant out back to see if they had one the size I wanted. They killed and cleaned it that day and put it in the cooler.

This

They'll also season it up and stuff the quarters with garlic cloves if you want that. We normally have been doing the sesasoning ourselves lately.
