After buying several King Cakes around BR, so far the ones at Alexander's Market are the best. I just like plain though, no filling inside. And as always, you have to look for the best sell by date.

I felt the same way till I had a Wedding Cake King Cake from Frank's Supermarket in Des Allemands.

The brownie cream cheese is my favorite. Plain king cakes are worthless and Harvest bakes theirs more like a kringle.

Had the “Melvis” from Rosch Bakehaus last week and a blueberry cardamom cream these week - best king cakes I’ve ever had. Not the typical cinnamon roll bread that most places use, but I don’t like that shite anyway.
