I don't drink daiquiri's very often. But when I do, I drink:

Party Like a Ciroc Star from Lakeside Daiquiri's in BR.

Mardi Gras Mash from New Orleans Original Daiquiris

Gene's is legit.

Glad someone else knows what's up. Everything I've tried from them has been good.

If any of y'all go to the quarter, pop on into gene's. Unless things have changed, it was the only legit place in that area. But I've been gone for a couple years.

Another good drink, while not a daiquiri, is the iced Irish Coffee at Molly's. I used to get it after dinner as a dessert.

Agreed - Gene's WTF with a shot of rum is solid - and their po'boy shop around the corner has one of my favorite hot sausage and cheese.

BTW - Molly's at the Market, 13 Monaghan and the Erin Rose all use the same recipe for the frozen Irish coffee - so you can choose based upon convenience.

I don't normally like sweet drinks, but Crawgator from NO Original is my guilty pleasure. Egg Nog at Christmas.

Frozen Fantasies in Meraux.

Went through that drive thru often as a 16-17 year old back in 96-97. Paradise started selling to us more when we were seniors so would normally get my 190 with 2 extra shots and a shot of goldschlauger then head to the lake or a friends.

Now I like a white Russian with some chocolate. Daiquiri cafe makes a solid one. Can't get shite here in Houston.

Buddy of mine goes to both Molly's and Erin Rose. He remarks at Erin Rose how their frozen Irish coffee tastes different. Bartender says "Yeah, that's because we clean our machine."

Erin Rose has that and Killer Po-Boys working in their favor.....
