La carreta is really good imo.
Enchiladas, burritos, and tacos is what i usually get.
Their queso is a must get.
Ive never drank there except for beers

Pretty good margaritas, if that's your thing.
All the food I've had there was good, at least when I was a student. I couldn't tell you now.

their Mexican pork fajita thing (not called a fajita but next to fajitas on the menu) is pretty solid. They make good fajitas, good burritos and such. I prefer Superior Grill or Mestizos in that area though. (If Baton Rouge)

As mentioned above, their food is ok, but there is better Mex even in BR. La Caretta's Fajitas are sorta dry and in smaller portion than others available in BR
I like La C's Mango Marg, Duck Empanadas, Queso.
Superior, Ninfas, El Sol de Guerrero,etc..do better Beef Fajitas, Chips & Salsa, Tacos, etc..

the queso was damn good...
duck empanadas sound good.
i had some enchiladas, and they were pretty solid.
..had a couple of margaritas--one regular frozen and one leftover, skinny one that was way too strong (the waitress made it for my gf, and she couldn't handle it).
the mexican options aren't outstanding in baton rouge, but it thought it was a pretty good experience at La Carreta.

I thought the chicken and steak enchiladas with tomatillo sauce were pretty good. But I admit I am not the greatest expert what Mexican food is suppose to taste like
