For the most part man I'm right there with you. One of my vices is good scotch though. I always keep one good bottle that I only open on special occasions when I'm alone or with a very small group of close friends who will appreciate it.

I think the date is good for about a year, but I didn't drink it enough to warrant keeping a bottle.

Rum....doesn't matter brand wise as much to me as these are always a mixed drink.
