toothpaste works for smell and the burning in your hands after eating crawfish.

For a real thrill, chop up some hot peppers. Don't wash your hands at all. Then, later in the day pop your contact lenses in.

Not to hijack your question, but how do you get the jalapeno heat (or any hot pepper) off your fingers before you touch your contact lens or your genitals (or someone else's genitals)?

For crawfish, grind up crackers in your hand. The pumice-type affect cleans your hands immediately.

If I don't love how the food smells then I probably didn't cook it right.

I just recently learned the stainless steel trick after the Mothers Day crawfish boil. Rubbed my hands inside the stainless steel sink before washing them and it worked.

I think this would be an excellent subject for a masters thesis. I've never personally chopped jalapenos and then touched my testicles. But I sure have flipped my contact lenses in after two hand washings and it still hurt.

If you're Catholic you can give the pain up as an offering for indulgences or prayers that Michael Jackson's soul shall be saved.
