Google Soulard Market and take a look at the pictures of that place. Twenty bucks buys easily enough food for a week which would cost eighty or more easily at a store.

Farm eggs. Whatever vegetables look good. And unfortunately, impulse buys that I shouldn't.

I like to buy homemade sauces, jams, jellies and preserves along with whatever in-season fruit and veggies look good. Those damn venders with free taste tests get me every time though. Last trip, homemade pepper jelly ( so good) and the best BBQ sauce I've ever had.

At Red Stick, the lady that sells pies makes a Cooshon (sp?) pie. She has large and small sizes of pies and makes pumpkin, chocolate, lemon, fig.. The small ones are good to scarf down.
I like the Rockin R Dairy's cheeses.. and Cajun Grain's Brown Jasmine Rice Grits.
