Anyway, Peche is by far your answer for what your looking for. Great chef, James Beard award winner, pretty casual.

You're asking the wrong group of people. The OT is trashy. No one hear knows what's good and what's not. However the FDB are all snobs and you'll get 10 didferent top 5 list.

Do a little homework and search Yelp and/or Urbanspoon for legit reviews.

My top in no particular order would be

Labocca
Clancy's
Patios
Croquette
Bayona
Herbsaint
Boucherie
Geautreaus

Cajun, there's Bon Temps, but New Orleans is not a Cajun city.
