Chili. Used a chocolate stout, which made for a very mellow chili, not sure why. I'm not a beer drinker, but had some stout leftover from a Chopped challenge from two years ago or so! (Beer mavens now cringing.) I know it probably wouldn't have been good to drink, but it seemed fine to cook with.

Not at all! Stouts (without coffee) age very well! Would have been fine to drink too.

Chili looks good.

you and I had the same idea. I made some chili with a NOLA Irish channel stout with best by date of 12/31/2015 It was still drinking good and cooked well
