Has anyone ever done one? I'm doing one the first week in October and was wondering what to expect. DO they give you the recepies you do in the class or should I bring a notebook to take notes? TIA

I did one in July.

A good time. Not some really in depth cheffing, but basic skills and tips. At least the one I went to.

Yes they DO. We had about 10. Only made 6-7 in the class (apps, salad, main course, sides, bread and dessert)

Nah. You should spend all your free time swillin mass quantites of wine.

Thanks, the one I'm doing is food based on "The Help". Fried chicken, mac and cheese, biscuits etc. I can't wait.

They will give you a book.

I still use the cheese grits and bbq rub recipe from the class I did.

Stay away from the chocolate pie. I hear the special ingredient is a doozy

Pfft, Wolf is the new Viking. I can't have a range that doesn't match my Sub-Zeros.

ETA: kidding, I don't have either. I do love our 36" pro style range though.

Where did you sign up for this class? I looked at their calendar but didn't see anything about fried chicken and mac and cheese. The closest I found was the Southern Cooking one that had fried chicken, mashed potatoes etc.
