First time cooking with ground venison and wanna do some burgers tomorrow. I know deer meat is typically dry so I wanna add some fat. Any other tips?

I have some ground chuck so mixing is possible. Don't need that much meat though. Guess I'll be refreezing.

I grind my own venison at home and throw in bacon when grinding. So good. But I actually like just plain ground venison. Just don't overcook it.

I like to patty a little thin, cook it hot and fast in a black skillet. Makes a killer patty melt too. Sautéed onions and shrooms and sharp cheddar. Oh lawd

Grill it with a few pats of butter on top to keep it from drying out. Add salt and serve.

Think ima do the bacon. See what happens. I don't want a lot of meat if I mix with chuck.
