well sort of, Momma is cooking out of her house on BR avenue. She doesn't cook everyday so it's best to call ahead and see if she is cooking that day. I think she usually cooks wed-fri but again she changes it up to some degree. Her house is easy to find, near plank/winnbourne/exxon area. BR ave. runs along the interstate in that part of town. She doe not mind phone calls so if you want the BEST soul food in town call momma. you can find her in the phone book under Seabell Thomas.
I have been stopping by for 3 months or so now and it's still the best in towwn!!!!!

Thats the stereotype of the area. During the daylight hours it's safe for anyone to go in that area. I personally would not be afraid to go at night either. Its not as bad as the stereotype may lead you to believe. It sure isn't cadillac street or prescott mohician in the big curve....

I think she may do some saturdays too but like I said her hours are not set in stone. it's always best to call ahead. On the wed before thanksgiving I pooped in without calling and she wasn't cooking but since she loves me she invited me in and heated up a plate for me.
SHe doesn't cook in the house, she has a small house type set up in the connecting yard that is her kitchen area. She does quite a few catering gigs.

good eye,no she doesn't let just anyine shite in her house and if she does they have to bring their own paper. Little side note, her nephew ken who worked at the original location across the tracks plays with a band called MoJeaux. They are out of N.O and played the Saints victory party sunday night in Miami.
