I had ordered this book a few months back and had forgotten all about until it showed up at my office this morning. Holy crap! This is an awesome book. If you're familiar at all with the web articles, it's all about why and how, not just recipes, though there are a lot of recipes. I look forward to diving in.

I ordered this book after seeing this thread. Just wanted to say thanks for the rec. Its an awesome book! Definitely my type of thinking when I cook

Weird to see this thread. I just accidentally caught Jones getting it for me as part of my birthday gift since we share an Amazon account.
