Anyone have any suggestions for Turkey Day lunch in New Orleans? I will be in town Tuesday-Friday with work, then on to Tiger Stadium for the Arkansas game.

Tom Fitz usually has a list of restaurants open for TG Day, but I don't know when it comes out. I haven't eaten out on TG in Nola before. Are you looking for a traditional meal or does it matter and is there a price range. I would think restaurants like Commander's, Arnaud's, Antoine's, Muriel's and the like will be open.

It really doesn't matter. Unfortunately, I will be by myself because of work then meeting family in BR on Friday for the game. But thanks I will keep an eye open for his list...........

We had a great meal at Arnaud's on Easter Sunday. It will be open and probably very festive and lively. I'd go where there might be some sort of jazz brunch atmosphere for fun if I was eating alone. Don't know if they do that on TG, but it was great fun on Easter Sunday. I could have people watched with cocktails all afternoon.

Here's the Fitz list from last year.

LINK

It will likely be similar this year, so this should give you some to consider. As far as I know Arnaud's is open 7 days a week, but I don't see it on the list. I'd call if that interests you.

There are times when I really look forward to and enjoy eating out by myself, especially when I'm out of town. I love the people watching and wondering what the stories are. I'm highly entertained and I'm pretty good company for myself, if I may say so myself. The problem comes in when I forget I'm alone and start talking out loud, though.

the last 2 thanksgivings we have eaten at the Windsor Court and Le Pavillon. Both were really good... Buffet style servings. I couldnt tell you about other places.

I thought about the Windsor Court. We considered eating there on Easter, but the menu was so limited and not terribly appealing. I'm staying there this weekend.
