I'd go to the The Chimes or CBD instead unless you really wanted to take the tour or drink near some brewing equipment. In which case I would go to NOLA or Gnarly Barley.

It's really not a terrible spot, I just think that their beer could be better and their tap room could be less boring in their offerings. I enjoy the coffee porter but I'm not sure if that's in season yet. Maybe I'm just too high maintenance when it comes to where I drink

Completely agree with all of this.

There is nothing worth your time on tap there. Tin Roof's idea of creative is dumping their blonde ale on different yeasts. No thanks...

Exactly. The "passport series" and their Randall is as creative as they get and their beer is average at best to begin with.

It's a nice tap room. They have cool events there from time to time. Check out their Facebook.

Is Tin Roof the best beer on earth? No. But it's decent stuff. There are a lot worse ways to spend an evening than hanging out at the tap room drinking beer and watching sports.

Your mine is the reason why we can't have nice things

Decent? Compared to what? Mexico tap water?

Only reason that Tin Roof is still in business is because stupid people but their subpar beer.

Keep the blonde, keep the coffee porter, and start all over again.

I want them to do well, but I fear the worst

Serious answer is what others have said. If you want to drink near some stainless tanks, by all means, go there. But my biggest beef is that they rarely serve anything that I can't get at the Albertson's right down the street from my house, so there really isn't a draw to going there. There is rarely more than 6, maybe 7 of the 10 taps filled at any given time. Can you imagine if you went to a restaurant or bar and 30-40% of their taps were empty? And that's not even mentioning that all of the offerings are pretty mediocre.

It's a nice enough space, and it has potential. They just need to offer up more things that you can't get elsewhere, along the lines of what NOLA does.

Stopped by the new taproom for the first time yesterday.

Damn, that place is nice. Taps were full, food was a nice touch, and tons of great one off beers on tap..

Anytime is a good time, it's a really great spot. The Gameday beer is one of the best beers I've had.

Went several months ago when some buddies and I were in town for a baseball game. Had a good time. Several food trucks were there and they had cornhole outside to play. Overall I thought it was enjoyable. Turnrow Harvest and Voodoo Bengal were the two I drank while there.

Is it the best beer ever, absolutely not. But for the only damn taproom in the capital city of Louisiana its not bad a bad place to go every once in awhile for a happy hour. Just a shame there is no other options around this area.
