Heard the hype about this place, and since I'm living on the east side of Dallas/east side of New Mexico City I figured I'd give it a shot. Holy hell that was BY FAR the worst messican food I've ever had. The beans sucked, the rice was bland, and the street tacos tasted like seasoned rubber. Thought the margarita would help, but it was completely watered down.

What's the appeal of this place to the native Texans? There was a line to the door for this...crap.

it's open late, served booze to us in high school, and the salsa bar is pretty money.

It has its time and place.

This was beyond terrible - I've had terrible, it was called Cayman Cafe at SLU. This is just garbage. Barely made it back to my toilet before I suffered from rectal explosive discharge.

I went there back in late 90's early 2000's and it was decent. Sort of like Piccadilly quality. Chick Fil a was next door. So good.

Personally, I like the place. You can't go in there expecting some gourmet meal. Its a step above fast food. Its fresh, I like it, and its quick. I normally get it once each time I'm alone in Houston on a business trip.

Cheap Tex-Mex food where you can also get a beer. Think Taco Bell with beer. Like most things from Texas, way over hyped.
