It is probably the best place for Japanese cuisine in the area. If you are going with a group get a private room with the rice paper doors. It feels like you are in Osaka.

Do it. Take off your shoes and get the royal treatment. You deserve it after all.

I have. It's pretty good. Also like that they give you some free noodles which if you add their spicy sauce and soy sauce on the table are quite tasty.

I'm not a fan of Kyoto squared. Love Horinoya and Mikimoto. 85 bucks is either a crap ton of sushi or all the most expensive items at Mikimoto because I was pleasantly surprised by our bill when we went. Mikimoto and Kanno have the best priced sushi in town.

i haven't been to any of these places mentioned. not a huge sushi fan, but i'm guessing they're better than Ninja and Sake Cafe?

Monkfish liver is damn pricey. It accounted for atleast 40.00 of my total. Worth it IMO.

The exact opposite of fishy. It tastes like foie gras with a hint of sea salt. It is my favorite thing to eat right now. I haven't seen it anywhere else besides Mikimoto. I think they save it for me.
