Anyone order any Abrasive lately? Is it still as good as always? Just placed my order on France 44.

Also curious about this here.

It's good, although I prefer Todd the Axeman to it.

It's terrific. Hard to beat an Abrasive or Todd straight from the source, though.

For all the hate that the past few iterations of Ghost in the Machine gets around here, this year's Abrasive is even worse. It's so boozy, which hides the hops. This used to be one of my favorite DIPAs, but I'd much rather Todd the Axeman nowadays.

I bought a new batch (Oct canning date) in late October/early November and thought Abrasive tasted different than previous years. It was boozier, more malty, and less juicy and hoppier than previous years.
Also bought Todd the Axeman with same order and thought it was really good. Much preferred it over Abrasive.

Zero reason to pay shipping for it with so many options that are just as good if not better sitting on local shelves.

I'll be interested to see the impact of Todd's move from Surly over to FFF has on both breweries.
Surly has seen a continued-departure of some of its "veterans," most of whom are now setting-up shop in St. Paul.
