Has Shux closed on the Fairhope pier?
Heard it was going to.

It's a small menu overall, but everything I have tried is good. Make sure you get the grilled slaw

We are going tonight. Will try to post a review since the OP can't follow through.

Last 3 nights we've had camellia cafe, Jesse's, and wash house. Every one was fantastic with Jesse's possibly taking a slight edge

My kid is cramping my style. Those places are not for my wild arse little one.

I hear ya. We took our kids (7&10) to all of them but threaten them beforehand. Met some good BR people while staying at the grand and ran into them at dinner last night.
Sage is also really good but we usually go there for lunch

We have a $100 gift card for Jesse's we've been sitting on for a year or so. It's been many years since I've eaten there but we'll use it soon
As far as Sunset Pointe, I ate there when they first opened and the menu has changed significantly in a positive way. When we went it was all healthy organic shite and they found out quickly that that wasn't going to work for a place like that. All 4 of us were pretty disappointed with out meal and I'm glad they listened to the people. Fairhope Yacht Club and Fly Creek are great places to go before and after eating at Sunset Pointe

There is a really cool Italian place there wife and I went to, Gambino's . I'd recommend that.

I went to Sunset Pointe tonight. Place is right next door to a marina and has a real laid back feel. It's 1-2 miles north of downtown Fairhope.
Happy hour consisted of $5 select appetizers and a number of drink specials. Beer selection was the usual players with several local Alabama brews on tap.
Started off with fried brussel sprouts with crystal hot sauce vinaigrette which was the best thing we had. Nicely fried with good balance of acid, sweet, and spice.
I got the fried grouper sandwich. Nice cornmeal coating and well fried. My wife got the bouillabaisse which was meh. Seafood was well cooked but broth just tasted like fish stock with inconsistently cut vegetables.

I believe they have tuna nachos there, which are excellent.
To the poster that mentioned Jesse's, it is the best restaurant in Baldwin County.
Everything is great. Bone-In Ribeye is the tits.

We got the shrimp/grits app. It was thickened with cornstarch and a little too tomatoey. I ordered snapper throats but ten minutes later they told me they were out. Wife ordered some lemon chicken and I ended up getting flank steak. It was decent. The best thing we had was my 2 year old's grilled cheese.
We had to leave suddenly when the whole outdoor dining area got swarmed by termites. The atmosphere was nice, server was pleasant but not very knowledgeable. Food was just ok.
