FYI-went to the source at 11:15 today. No line and about 6 or 7 folks sitting at the bar. Purchased my allotment and asked how much ghost was still available. The answer was "plenty". They also still had crowlers of 4x available.

Today is the arrival of Ghost in BR. Anyone going to Calandro's? Any confirmed shipments to other stores in the area?

Most people are probably going to be racing home to get ready for the game. I would assume that getting Ghost from Calandro's should be pretty damn easy IMO

Calandros is screwed:
quote:

Recently folks have become aware of what appears to be racially motivated rudeness by certain stores/employees. I would like to point out the tell-tale signs that a store doesn't want non white shoppers, that don't even include actual interaction. See the selection of products in the store - do they have certain products that are stereotypically foods or things non whites use? Review the store policies - do they have a massive sign proclaiming their refusal to accept EBT or some other micro aggression? Look at the employees' faces - are they smiling at non white customers or scowling? Now, watch the interaction between the employees and white customers - are non white customers greeted the same way?

So this person associates food stamps and poor, welfare citizens with "non white." Sounds pretty racist to me. That aggression will not stand with me!

Most grocery store employees I see scowl at everybody, regardless of race.

My local Rouses has to be the most miserable collection of employees ever assembled.

I know what you mean but at the local Walmart, I get more of "brain dead" vibe from the employees. My Rouses employees, on the other hand, seem to have a simmering hate for life in general. Its a discernible difference.

Especially when I plop down 6 4-packs of some off the wall beer that won't scan.

I was pretty anti-DDH Mosaic at first, but it's slowly and quietly rounded into a solid beer.
Agree I still have a couple 4 packs left I thought I was going to give away but after having a few this weekend it has balanced out nicely.

Every Rouses in New Orleans trains their employees to scowl at white customers then.

I would prefer this. Don't acknowledge me and I won't acknowledge you. Just bag the groceries minion.
