Are there any mid-range restaurants that have a really good steak? ~$25/steak.

Taking b/f for steak this weekend (you know why) but wasn't really wanting to go all out to like Ruth's Chris or Flemings.

Are there any mid-range places you recommend?

Cook him one yourself, with nothing but an apron on. That way the 2nd part of your day is much easier(for him).

I was thinking that too, but I actually cook for him ALL the time so I thought I'd mix it up a little and treat him to dinner.

ETA: And until this summer when he buys a house, he's still at his apartment with a roommate so that wouldn't work.

I agree with J Alex for a pretty good steak for the price. The TJ Ribs Chophouse on siegen has a pretty good steak as well for a decent price.

Go with J Alexander's like everyone else said

It's in the price range you're looking for, you'll get good service and it will be cooked the way you want it. And it's going to come with a salad.

Hmmm, that sucks. Well, back when I was a poor college kid my wife and I would go to Flemings/Sullivans/Chris's and just split a steak without drinking. I personally would rather have half a great steak than a whole not so great steak.

*Note:This logic DOES NOT apply to the blowjob

jesus christ. I could NEVER do something like this. You shared a fricking steak at Flemings/Sullivans/Chris's?

And LL, if you don't mind a quick drive to NOLA, go to Crescent City Steakhouse. You can probably get out for about 75 bucks if you don't drink much.

Capital City Grill

J Alexanders

Doe's

Stroube's

TJ Ribs (I believe uses same type of oven as Ruth's)

Ruffino's (excellent ribeye)

Kona Grill (serves a decent filet)

Louisiana Lagniappe (best choice IMO)

Superior Grill (yes, I know)

As I put in another article.

28 dollar USDA Prime Ribeye at Little Village is perhaps my favorite steak in BR. This includes Flemmings and Ruths.

The steak comes with a side and salad as well so its not ala carte pricing.
