Steak Frites And A Clueless Waiter

Was at Gordon Biersch Friday night and ordered Steak Frites med rare. The waiter said that i get one side item with my meal. I ordered something green, asparagus i think. When my meal arrives, I have A piece of steak and the green stuff on my plate. No Fries. I asked him where are my fries. He says you get one side and you ordered asparagus. I asked him if he knew what steak frites meant and he said yes and told me that fries are extra if i want to have fries. We were all amazed that he couldnt comprehend what was going on. Instead of making an issue, i just ordered the fries and sent back the well done piece of charred meat they sent me.
