If the cook knew what he was doing, a steak requires nothing. If it needs A1 to cover up the terrible flavor, add moisture, remedy blandness, then someone has ruined a steak.

Nothing, but it own blood.

Most people that use condiments on their steak like it cooked medium well to well done because the steak tends to be dry. I like mine rare to medium rare so its always juicy.
