in a big skillet sauteed Trinity and garlic. add tomato paste red wine and olive oil to keep from sticking. Maybe a couple of bay leaves if you like. sweeten to taste with sugar and Jamaican allspice.
in the big pot braise a rump roast, in which braised cover with tomato sauce made from your fresh tomatoes. Add some beef broth and simmer. about an hour before you serve, and Italian sausage and the meatballs.

Do this one and substitute ripe tomatoes for the canned ones I used
Good, bright Marinara sauce
Add meat (Italian sausage or beef, or meatballs) if you like. Serve with pasta and grated parmesan cheese at my house.
