Been fighting a virus or something and dealing with a sore throat. I know who gets sick in May? Any suggestions on some good places where I can pick some soup up or something like that? I rather get it somewhere fresh than out of the can.

Looking for something in BR

Zoe's Kitchen has a pretty good Chicken Orzo soup that I like to fight a cold. Other than that, a good bowl of Pho hits the spot. Plenty of places near the corner of Sherwood/Florida. Or Dream Berry further south on Sherwood.

Drunken Fish may do Pho near LSU but I've never had it there.

Get the spicy chicken Thai bowl at Whole Foods at the sushi counter. Put that little packet with the chinese characters in it. Get well.

At Whole Foods?

They have all of their seafood based "soups" by the seafood counter. Gumbo, bisque, chowder, etc.

They have their "hearty" soups by the meat section. Chilis, stews, etc.

Their run of the mill soups are by the salad bar. Chicken noodle, broccoli, veggie, etc.

ETA: They used to have an artichoke parmesan crab bisque that was the bee's knees. But they haven't had it in a long time.

Get the spicy chicken noodle bowl. It's basically a soup too at the Asian counter (not sure what it's called). It's awesome.

Chicken noodle, tortilla, black bean, tomato basil, various Thai noodle soups, Chili,

You really have to go into WF to see what is current.

Also, la madeleine has some awesome soups. best are tomato basil and mushroom.

Try Whole Foods, they do about 6 to 8 solid soups per day. Le Madeleine's Tomato Basil or French Onion, Maison Lacour's Soupe Jacqueline & others, Mansur's(Brie & Crab), Parrain's spicy Gumbo, Don's basic brown roux mild Gumbo, Superior's Chicken Tortilla, Little Saigon's Pho, assorted Thai places Tom Yum, J Alexander's Chicken Noodle, Oriental Pearl on Sherwood location-only Hot & Sour, Beausoleil's Chicken & Andouille, etc..
