Rouses had prime ribeyes, @ $12.99 a lb, when I went in there yesterday. Bought a couple at around 1.5 lbs apiece. Let them come up to room temp and threw them in the oven, at 225, for about 40 minutes. They were browning but still had a reddish tint when I pulled them to rest. Slapped them on a hot pit to finish up. No grill grates like the rich kids so don't expect perfect markings!

A finished steak...

A cut shot. The picture's really dark and the colors are off but you can see how juicy it was...

The wife was happy and we had leftovers for today!

HEB had prime ribeyes for $7.97 last week. Have six prime ribeyes in the freezer because I still have two of the biggest T-bones I have ever seen that HEB had on sale the week before at $5.79 per pound.
