Wife's Keurig went out. I recently started drinking espresso or macchiato's in the morning. I can live without coffee, but do like those drinks over a full cup of drip coffee. I'm no coffee expert, so excuse my ignorance. I'm assuming we can make all my wifes super sugary, candy type coffees with the espresso machine, correct? Just a little more effort? SHe only drinks on the weekend, so the extra time is no issue to me.

Get the nespresso and a separate milk frother,

i have an espresso, cappucino, or americano almost everyday. only downside is the volume a pod makes. I go through 2-3 when making a drink. Other days I'll have drip coffee

I bought a Nespresso last year (Citiz with detached frother) and we loved it. Never got around to using the frother, but it makes good espresso;

However, it's not as good as an espresso you'd get from a traditional machine, so I decided to buy the Breville Barista Express. My wife was completely happy with the Nespresso but I liked the idea of being able to customize my espressos a little more. Only downside vs. the Nespresso is that it's a bit more work, but we only use it on the weekend so that's not really an issue.

To answer your question-- yes,I think you should get an espresso machine. I've never been big on coffee until I started drinking espresso.

As a side note, we do still have the Nespresso for sale
