Grilling these tonight. Would you guys recommend buying them already made or doing them yourself?

Do them yourself.
Separate the meats from your veggies. All Luke items on same skewer

Sirloin, onions, peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes or what other combinations are good?

If you want to pay too much, buy them. If you want to save money, do yourself.
Make with lamb. If you're gonna stick with beef use a better cut than sirloin

That's a pretty good set. Mushrooms are a must imo.
Chicken thighs. Great with a white BBQ sauce.
Market by my house always sells lamb skewers. Those were always bought.
Really anything you can throw on a grill.

How about the steak on their own skewers and the vegetables on their own?

Definitely do that, I hate how undercooked the veg is if the steak is properly cooked and vice versa

I may wrap the steak with bacon and include squash and zucchini

I hate how tomatoes cook to the point that they fall off of the skewer

If you want to infuse the steak with other flavors, you have to kabob them together.
Just use thinner pieces of veggies (thin cut peppers, for example) with thicker cuts of steak.
As mentioned above, use a good cut of meat, or they will be tough. If you go bacon wrapped, you're going to have to pre-cook the bacon a bit, as it will never cook through before the meat is done. (If you want to actually eat the bacon instead of just using it for the infusion of bacon rendered fat.)
